ABOUT ME

I'm Jasmin Dennis

Health and Wellness have been my Driving Force and Passion for over 30 years.My passion can be traced back to my employment at the Workmen's Compensation Board (now the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board) in the Claims Adjudication Department for eight years. I noticed a pattern of employee burnout, mental and physical stress, low morale, and high absenteeism. Studies have shown that many heart attacks occur on Monday mornings. One such study was reported in the New York Times, March 14th, 2006, "The stress of returning to work and the start of a long week is reason enough to dread Mondays. It goes on to say that heart attacks occur lowest on the weekends."

I had many questions, and I started to seek answers, a passion that led me to all areas of Health and Wellness, and over 30 years of practical and hands on experience.I was directly involved in building more than 20 Fitness Facilities from the ground up, including three for the Former Heavy Weight Champion of the World, Lennox Lewis, while simultaneously working as a member of his Boxing Team. I developed, delivered, and taught Personal Training, Box Fit Classes, Pilates, Aerobics, as well as Health and Wellness Education. These facilities were staffed with Naturopathic Doctors, Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, Massage Therapists, and Nutritionists. Interacting and observing these professionals has given me insight and understanding of when their skills and advice should be introduced. I have recently added Certified Herbalist to my skill set.I am well-known for my experiences in this space and an expert in getting Employers to understand the myriad benefits of Health and Wellness in the Workplace. This implementation could help curb absenteeism, an improved bottom line, reverse quiet quitting, improve mental health, increase productivity, and create an overall healthy work environment.My Mission is to help Employers incorporate a Health and Wellness Standard that will create a win, win for both Employers and Employees. I encourage Employers to adopt this habit... The rewards are simply too large to measure.
